Rob Zombie Spookshow

By Cody Warhurst

How about some awesomely spooky news from the pinball world, appropriate for October? Spooky Pinball, LLC out of Benton, WI (producers of the pinballs Godzilla and America’s Most Haunted) announced they will be releasing the “Rob Zombie Spookshow International” pinball next year. With a creepy art, loads of fanfare, and, of course, great music from the game’s namesake himself, this is sure to be a great pinball.

Spooky released the game art done by Alex Horley (well known for his long-time collaboration with Wizards of the Coast and their smash card game Magic: The Gathering) with their announcement, showcasing several of Zombie’s classic characters from his movies:

Unknown-3

The gang’s all here with Captain Spaulding, Dr. Satan, Baby, and even Zombie himself. Also featured are some fantastically horrifying creatures of the night including a banshee, werewolf, killer robot and loads of zombies. Speaking of Zombie, ten of his hits will be featured as the music for this release:

– “Dragula”
– “Never Gonna Stop (Red Red Kroovy)”
– “Living Dead Girl
– “Demonoid Phenominon”
– “American Witch”
– “What?”
– “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown”
– “Feel So Numb”
– “Superbeast”
– “House Of 1,000 Corpses

Even more exciting, the voicing for the in-game sounds will be done by Zombie with special guest Sid Haig! Naturally, Sig Haig, the voice of Captain Spaulding, would have to be included as the purpose of this pinball is to defeat Captain Spaulding and survive the infamous House of 1,000 Corpses!

The release of details so far is scant, but pricing has been set for the two models that will be available. The basic or “Pro” model will be $5995 with only 250 being made. The limited edition (LE) model, which features different back glass and side armor, will be $6495 with only 50 being made. It hasn’t been announced that the LE will come autographed, with special art, or any Certificate of Authenticity yet. Any way you slice it, only 300 of this pinball will be released, making it a pretty rare grab.
